Auburn Mountainview senior Owen Lempert qualified in a pair of individual events and relays at Friday and Saturday’s state swim and dive championships at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
Lempert is seeded third in the 50-yard freestyle in 21.78 seconds behind Lake Washington’s Nick Reeves (21.62) and Bainbridge’s Makai Ingalls (21.74). His classmate, Ian Portman, is seeded 22nd (23.44) in that event. Lempert also is seeded sixth in the 100 breaststroke in 1 minute, 0.63 seconds.
Along with Lempert, Portman also is seeded 24th in the 100 freestyle (52.81), while senior Josh Watrous is seventh in diving.
The Lions’ 200 free relay is seeded 10th (1:32.65), while their 200 medley squad is 15th (1:45.28).
