Auburn Mountainview sophomore Samantha Goedde raced to victory in a South Puget Sound League 3A cross country meet against Bonney Lake on Wednesday.

Goedde covered the 5,000-meter course at Isaac Evans Park in 20 minutes, 49 seconds. Bonney Lake’s LaRee Graham was second in a time of 21:09.

The Lions’ Yadira Ventura (21:57) was fourth, Callie Bartlett took sixth (22:14) and Tiffany Pott finished eighth (23:52).

For the boys, Bonney Lake’s Brock Frame edged Auburn Mountainview’s Christian Rotter. Both stopped the clock in just over 16 minutes.

The Lions’ Nick Wolfe (17:34) was fifth, Derrick Howlett was eighth (18:04) and Carson Porter-Keese (18:25) was 10th.

Elsewhere

At Auburn Riverside, Enumclaw’s Eric Hamel (17:04) took the boys race at a tri-meet against the Ravens and Lakes. Thomas Broch (17:41) was sixth, Boone Tate (17:45) was sixth and Elliott Crawford (17:51) finished 10th for the Ravens.

In the girls race, Enumclaw sophomore Hunter Storm topped the field (19:35). The Ravens’ Amanda Bunger (21:20) was sixth.
