Lions, Ravens fall in district playoffs

Freshman quarterback Kayde Bodine threw three touchdown passes, two to Cooper White, in Auburn Mountainview’s 42-21 district playoff loss at sixth-ranked Puyallup on Friday night.

The Lions finished the season 4-6. The Vikings (9-1) advanced to the 4A state playoffs.

Bodine completed 19 of 27 passes for 181 and two interceptions. White had eight catches for 56 yards, while Teagin Child grabbed four passes for 59 yards and a TD.

Berkley Alfrey carried the ball 18 times for 63 yards.

On defense, Kudzie Marunda led the way with 12 tackles.

Elsewhere

At No. 5 Bothell 52, Auburn Riverside 19: Jayden Solis ran for 96 yards and two touchdowns in the Ravens’ district playoff loss to the Cougars at Pop Keeney Stadium on Friday night.

The Ravens ended the season 8-2. The Cougars (8-2) moved on to the state playoffs.

Solis scored on runs of 23 and 25 yards in the fourth quarter. Javon Forward, who finished with 72 yards rushing, scored on a 12-yard run in the first quarter.

Kentlake 41, at Auburn 20: The Falcons (2-8) downed the Trojans (2-8) in a North Puget Sound League season-ending game Thursday.
