Back at his favorite track, Luck Out rallied from far back for a half-length victory Friday evening in the $15,600 Bet America Purse for fillies and mares at Emerald Downs.

Ridden by Leslie Mawing, Luck Out ran six furlongs in 1:08.78 and paid $9, $4.40 and $3.80. Blaine Wright is the winning trainer and co-owner with Dallas Becker and Sea Mist Racing LLC.

A 4-year-old Kentucky-bred by Lookin At Lucky, Luck Out has won four straight at Emerald Downs – three in 2015 and Friday’s victory – and is 4-2-1 in 12 starts overall with earnings of $42,035.

Wright also is smoking hot at Emerald Downs, winning with four of his first five starters at the meet, and is three-for-three with Mawing riding.

Dance With Effie, ridden by Juan Gutierrez, overtook Doctor Susan into the lane, but drifted out in the stretch and settled for second place. Dance With Effie paid $6 and $4.80.

Iwannabeadivatoo, Jose Zunino riding, finished third and paid $3.60, while Pippa Bou Peep, Doctor Susan, Quibble and If You Like It completed the order of finish.

Rocketing to the lead from the outside post, Doctor Susan set sizzling splits of :21.31 and :43.52, while Luck Out rallied from fifth and out-finished Dance With Effie in the final furlong for the victory.
