Auburn Riverside’s dream season came to an end last Friday with a 31-28 first-round playoff loss to Cascade of Everett at Auburn Memorial Stadium.
Throughout the game the Ravens (8-3) and Bruins (10-1) traded blows, but in the end Cascade won out, courtesy of Spencer Bowlden’s last-second 33-yard field goal.
“It’s very hard to say goodbye to these kids,” coach Bryant Thomas said. “They did something no other Auburn Riverside team has done, won a share of the (South Puget Sound League) North 4A title.”
