PREP VOLLEYBALL: Auburn, Auburn Mountainview and Auburn Riverside keep unbeaten league streaks alive. Jefferson falls to Tahoma

The No. 6 ranked Auburn Riverside Raven volleyball team improved to 3-0 – 6-2 overall – in the South Puget Sound League North 4A Division with a 3-0 win over Federal Way this past Wednesday.

The Ravens had no problem getting past the Eagles (0-4, 2-7), winning by scores of 25-12, 25-17 and 25-12.

Brooke Bray had 16 kills and 10 digs in the contest and Brooklynn Bradbury added 20 assists for Auburn Riverside.

Federal Way was led by Cristiana Ventura’s 10 assists.

The Ravens will host Tahoma (2-2, 3-5) at 7:15 p.m. this Tuesday, Oct. 13 at Auburn Riverside High School.

ALSO: The Trojans (3-0, 5-2) kept their league undefeated streak alive by defeating Kent-Meridian (1-3, 1-6) 3-0 this past Wednesday, with scores of 25-16, 26-24 and 25-21. Sierra Atkinson led Auburn with 31 assists with Isia Johnson adding 12 kills and four aces, and Dani Brunelle chipping in with 11 digs. Skyler Atkinson had 8 kills and 10 blocks and Heather Restrepo had six kills and three blocks. Michelle Ernsdorf chimed in with 7 kills. Auburn will host Kentwood (4-0, 8-1) at 7:15 p.m. this Wednesday, Oct. 13. … In SPSL 3A action, the No. 9 Auburn Mountainview girls improved to 3-0 in league play – 9-0 overall – with a 3-0 win over Franklin Pierce (0-3, 0-6) this past Tuesday. The Lions swept aside the Cardinals with scores of 25-12, 25-11 and 25-15. Sam Odren had 13 assists, with Caitlin Carr notching seven kills and Alexi Morton adding five kills. Kylie Olenick had three aces and Kelsey Fausko had three blocks. Auburn Mountainview will host Clover Park (0-3, 0-6) at 7:15 p.m. tonight, Oct. 8. … Thomas Jefferson (1-3, 4-3) fell 0-3 to Tahoma this past Wednesday. The Bears won the match with scores of 25-23, 25-21 and 26-24. The Raiders were led by Katelyn Nugent with 22 kills, three blocks, three digs and two assists. Kendra Ansotigue had 13 digs, seven kills and two assists and Allie Crowe chipped in with 24 assists and four kills. April Crozier contributed six digs and three aces. Jefferson will travel to play at Decatur (0-4, 1-7) at 7:15 p.m. this coming Tuesday, Oct. 13.
