TROJAN SUMMER CAMPS

Camps in BASEBALL and SOFTBALL are scheduled for June 23-27 at the Auburn High School baseball complex. Elementary-age players will meet from 9-11:30 a.m.; and middle school-age players will meet from 1-3:30 p.m. The cost is $115, and includes a T-shirt. Early registration is encouraged. The focus will be on offense, defense, speed training, throwing arm care, throwing programs, base-running concepts and position-specific instruction. The camps will be directed by coach Brian Embery. LONGHORN/5-TOOL HITTING CAMP

This camp for elementary- and middle school-age BASEBALL and SOFTBALL players is scheduled for June 23-26 at the Evergreen State Sports Indoor Training Complex in Sumner. Elementary-age players will meet from 9-11:30 a.m., and middle school-age players will meet from 1-3:30 p.m. The cost is $115, and includes a camp shirt. Early registration is encouraged. The focus will be on hitting mechanics and comprehensive hitting drills to develop consistent offensive performance; situational awareness; and mental imagery training. AUBURN MOUNTAINVIEW CAMP

This camp for boys and girls who will be entering grades 1-8 in the fall is scheduled for June 30-July 3 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day in the main gym at Auburn Mountainview High School. The cost is $60, and $40 for siblings. The camp will be directed by Auburn Mountainview boys coach Jon Price and Mountainview girls coach Chris Carr. AUBURN TROJAN CAMP

This camp for boys and girls who will be entering grades 3-9 will take place July 21-24 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. each day at Auburn High School. The cost is $85 for early registration, and $95 for registration on the first day of camp. The cost includes a T-shirt and a basketball. AUBURN RIVERSIDE CAMP

This camp for players ages 7-13 is scheduled for June 30-July 2 from 9 a.m.-noon each day at Auburn Riverside High School. The cost is $25 per day, or $60 for all three days. The focus will be on speed training, footwork, and position-specific drills, with instruction from the Auburn Riverside coaching staff and players. This camp for boys and girls ages 5-12 is scheduled for July 14-17 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day on the soccer field at Auburn Mountainview High School, 28900 124th Ave. S.E. RAVENS SUMMER TEAM

Registration is open to boys and girls ages 8-18, with all ability levels welcome. The team practices on the courts at Auburn Riverside High School beginning June 26, and is open to players from throughout the region. Match play continues through July. Covington Community Sports will offer these four-day camps for boys and girls ages 8-12 will be offered Monday through Thursday beginning July 14, July 28 and Aug. 11. Camp hours are 1-3:30 p.m. each day at Cedar Heights Middle School, 19640 S.E. 272nd St. Campers will learn and enhance skills by playing in games and participating in other activities. Proper stroke and movement will be emphasized. The cost is $95 per camper per session. The instructor is Stephen Johnson, a member of the U.S. Professional Tennis Registry. TROJAN SUMMER CAMP

This six-week camp is open to boys and girls ages 5-18. It will take place June 24-July 29 on the courts at Auburn High School, and will focus on drills and tournament play. AUSUM TENNIS AT MOUNTAINVIEW

The Auburn Sumner Tennis League at Auburn Mountainview High School (28900 124th Ave. S.E.) is open to boys and girls ages 8-18. Classes begin June 30 and run on a Tuesday-through-Friday basis until July 24. Times are 8:30 a.m. for advanced players, 10 a.m. for intermediates, 11 a.m. for advanced beginners, and noon for beginners. The cost is $85 for beginners, and $95 for all others, and includes a T-shirt, 12 hours of instruction, match play, play days with other area teams, and a chance to compete in an end-of-season tournament. The camp will feature Kirk White, an NCAA champion and three-time All-American, and an assistant coach this past season at Pac-10 champion Boise State.
