Reporter Athlete of the Week: Talia Samuelson

Auburn Riverside High School’s Talia Samuelson, senior, girls soccer, was selected Auburn Reporter’s Female Athlete of the Week for Sept. 28.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Weight training and choir.

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: Running track, singing, hiking, traveling and watching reality shows.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My family: Dave, Sarah and Raelene. Always positively supporting me in everything I do in the classroom, on the field, and in my everyday life.

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: I listen to music to help me focus and visualize the game. My teammates and I always get hyped up in the locker room. Then I start to focus on my touches and zone into my game mentality during warmups.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Dreams” by The Cranberries

“The Ravens won all three of their games last week to remain undefeated on the season. Talia scored two goals in last week’s games and constantly put pressure on opposing defenses. She is setting the tone for a super senior season.”
