Reporter honors the Trojans’ Rambo, Adams

Auburn High School’s Timothy Rambo, track and filed, is the Auburn Reporter’s Male Athlete of the Week.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: French.

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: I run all the time, but I also play video games with my brother. And do push-ups.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: Coach Isham and my dad.

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: I always go to the bathroom before I run.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Riptide” by Vance Joy.

From the Sideline

“Last week in our track meet with Kentridge, Tim won the 800 and the 1,600 and ran a leg on the winning 4-by-400 team with one of the top 10 times in the state for 4A schools, helping Auburn win the meet. He set a personal record in the 800 and came from behind on the home stretch to win the 1,600. Tim trains and competes with dedication and passion. He’s a leader on and off the track. Teammates and coaches alike love Tim for his energetic and friendly personality.”

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Language arts and P.E.

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: Family time, church, swimming, traveling and cooking.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My mom, dad and brother, because they are the ones who have supported me and taught me how to play..

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: I listen to a playlist before the game and get mentally ready.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Hawaiian Roller Coaster” from Lilo & Stitch.

“Kiana took the win for Auburn against Enumclaw on Tuesday. She put in seven innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out seven and walking zero. Kiana is hitting .459 for the season with 15 RBIs in 12 games. She has been an amazing cheerleader for her teammates and is always thinking how she can better herself for the team. Kiana is a dedicated athlete to her team and individual teammates. She understands what it is to earn her success. The coaches are very proud.”
