Riverside boys take home first at Arnie Young Invitational | Track and Field

The Auburn Riverside boys team had no problem putting away the field at the annual Arnie Young Invitational meet this past Saturday at Renton Memorial Stadium. The Ravens scored 104 points, outdistancing second place Stanwood, who had 87.4 points, and third place Renton, who scored 82.5 points. The Ravens got first place finishes from Kenny Krotzer, who won the 3,200-meter race with a 9-minute, 17.18-second time.

Sophomore Andrey Zadneprovskiy was first in the high jump with a 6-feet, 2-inch jump and was second in the 110 hurdles with a 15.27 time.

The Raven’s 4×400 relay team of Madison Allen, Kenny Krotzer, Dylan Brown and Eduard Yakimchuk finished first with a 3:36.31 time.

Brown was second in the 800 with a 2:01.69 finish

ALSO: The Raven girls finished fourth overall at the Arnie Young Invitational with 71 points. Mount Si won the event with 102 points, just edging out the Stanwood girls, who had 100.5 points. Enumclaw was third in the team competition with 84 points. Senior Rebecca Turnbow finished first in the pole vault with a 10-feet, 6-inch vault and Rachel Atwood was second in the 1,600 with a 4:59.46 time. Elise Jones was second in the high jump with a 5-foot jump. The Raven boys and girls track and field teams will compete this Saturday at the Tacoma Invitational at the Lincoln Bowl.
