SEATTLE THUNDERBIRDS: T-Birds to unveil new Reebok Edge jerseys to public Sept. 9 at ShoWare

The Seattle Thunderbirds will be unveiling their new Reebok Edge Jerseys at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, at ShoWare Center in a event that is open to the public.

“We would like to invite all fans, sponsors and media to come down to ShoWare Center on September 9 for a special jersey unveiling event,” said T-Birds general manager Russ Farwell. “Our players will be modeling the team’s new Reebok Edge jerseys and fans will have the opportunity to interact with our players and media in attendance.”

City of Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke will host the event which will take place in the Club Lounge at ShoWare Center. Fans will be able to enter ShoWare Center from the west side Suite entrance starting at 9:30 a.m. Mayor Cooke will highlight the design and benefits of the new Edge Jersey and current T-Birds will model the new jerseys. The unveiling ceremony will take place promptly at 10 a.m.

ShoWare Center will also be putting the ice in for this season. Fans will be able to see the ShoWare Center staff putting the under ice logos and ads in after the unveiling ceremony.

It’s an exciting day for hockey across North America as all 60 CHL teams will unveil their new Reebok Edge jerseys at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

The T-Birds Hockey Store will be open and the new Reebok Edge jerseys will be available for sale.

The T-Birds will open the 2009-10 Western Hockey League regular season with back-to-back home games against the Silvertips and Portland Winterhawks.

The T-Birds will take on the Silvertips on Friday, September 18, at 7:35 p.m. and then host the Winterhawks on Saturday, September 19, at 7:05 p.m. Both games are at ShoWare Center in Kent.

T-Birds single game tickets for the 2009-10 season are available online at the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday game days at 10 a.m. and Sunday game days at noon.
