Homeowners, don’t complain about living next to a racetrack

Please remember that Pacific Raceways existed before most of the houses that now surround it. All of the people who bought those houses knew the track was there.

This park-like facility provides employment for many and is far more valuable to the public than the crappy housing developments that continue to spread like a disease throughout our once well-forested county.

It is very troubling that foolish people who buy houses built next to a racetrack, then proceed to complain about noise and try to place limits on the race facility. It is much like the residents of Winterwood who attempted to stop the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad from reopening the Stampede Pass tracks several years ago, even though they all bought their expensive houses, knowing full well that a railroad line was in place running through the area.
