Danny Vernon as Elvis Presley performs live

The King is in the house.

The infamous Danny Vernon as Elvis Presley performs live at the Auburn Ave at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2.

An Inspirational Christmas with Elvis begins at 7:30 p.m. at the theater, 10 Auburn Ave.

From a very young age, Vernon has been bopping along to Elvis hits. An accomplished musician with his own nationally played album, Vernon strove to create a show that would illustrate his respect and support of the 20th century icon. Vernon is sure to cover the entire span of Elvis’ career, from the recklessly abandoned hillbilly cat of the ‘50s, the sleek ‘60s and the sexy ‘70s jumpsuit era.

Vernon’s Elvis Presley is right at home at the Ave.

Elvis has inspired numerous impersonators, tribute shows and other cultural memorials. The King has been portrayed on stage in 37 different plays and musicals, musicians have written more than 10 songs about or pertaining to Elvis and 54 different actors have played him on film. Today, you can visit his home at Graceland, download the Elvis app for both iPod and Android, or visit his website and post an Elvis sighting.
