April 3

Fraud: 11:38 a.m., 5600 block of South 307th Street. A woman who had hoped to buy pets over the Internet found herself the victim of a swindle.

Vandalism: Overnight, 4810 D St. NW. Somebody threw a rock through a business’ glass door.

Burglary: Overnight, 13315 SE 307th St. Somebody stripped the wiring from a house under construction.

Shoplifting: 8:50 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A dozen suspects grabbed clothing items from a store and fled.

Hairlifting: 5:23 p.m., 1509 Auburn Way S. A man shoplifted a hair straightener from a business.

April 4

Theft: 4:41 p.m., 762 Outlet Collection Drive SW. Somebody left a purse in a shopping cart outside Walmart and another somebody stole it.

April 5

Theft: 7:22 a.m., 801 Auburn Way N. Two unknown masked suspects loaded an ATM machine at Fred Meyer into a white van and fled the area. Police declined to offer additional details because the case is under investigation.

Vandalism: 11:06 a.m., 28900 124th Avenue SE. A passerby called 911 to report an act of vandalism at Auburn Mountainview High School.

Shoplifting: 1:28 p.m., 1519 Auburn Way S. A person of the feminine gender — child, teen or woman, not disclosed — stole something worth something from Goodwill Industries.

Shoplifting: 2:25 p.m., 1519 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a woman for trying to steal a pair of shoes.

Vandalism: 2:34 p.m., 1100 block of 4th Street Southeast. A man called police to report that a kid had thrown a rock from across the street and broken two of his home’s windows.

Vandalism: 5:44 p.m., 1825 K St. SE. Somebody, or several somebodies in dishonest cahoots, damaged two windows in some way at Olympic Middle School.

Flaming Dumpster: 6:51 p.m., 3800 block of H Street Northeast. A woman called police after her children informed her that the Dumpster in their apartment complex was ablaze.

Flashing a weapon: 8:18 p.m., 6700 block of Elaine Court Southeast. A man showed a handgun to his 9-year-old neighbor in an unlawful manner.
