Auburn Police blotter | June 16

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between June 7 and 9:

June 7

Shoplifting: 9:50 p.m., 1416 Harvey Road NE. A male of the species – toddler, boy, man, old timer, undisclosed – bolted with bottles of booze from the Harvey Road Walgreens.

Trespassing: 3:46 p.m., 4025 A St. SE. The southend Starbucks told one misbehaving bloke he was no longer welcome among its constellation of caffeinated clientele, so out he went.

Commercial burglary: 8:55 p.m., 1221 A St. NE. Somebody may have burglarized a commercial construction site.

Weapons offense: 9:05 p.m., 2511 D St. SE. A drive-by shooting occurred.

June 8

Burglary: 5:51 a.m., 1221 A St. NE. A man reported a commercial burglary.

Trespassing: 3:24 p.m., 1520 Industry Drive SW. Police removed a man and a woman from a PSE substation.

Assault with injury: 6:50 p.m., 200 block of F Street Northwest. A man beat his girlfriend.

June 9

Theft from vehicle: Overnight, 3200 block of 35th Way Southeast. Some thief employing the smash and grab lifted from a vehicle a Taurus 9-mm automatic and several thousand dollars worth of African clothing. Police found a cigarette butt and impounded it for DNA analysis.

Weapons offense: 2:11 p.m., 1231 Auburn Way N. Police busted a girl for a firearms offense after Rite Aid security stopped her for shoplifting. She also resisted arrest.

Burglary: 8 p.m., 13100 bloc of Southeast 304th Street. A burglar or burglars stole two ATVs from an Auburn resident’s fenced yard, but police recovered them before their owner knew they were missing.

Theft: 12 p.m., 711 E Main St. A high school student took an iPad from a teacher without her knowledge or permission, whereupon school authorities suspended him from school. He will be charged with theft.
