Auburn traffic advisories: Reconstruction, lane closure on R Street SE at 28th Street SE | UPDATE

On Friday, Oct. 27, a reconstruction project will require a lane closure on R Street SE at 28th Street SE between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for installation of underground utility work.

During the lane closure, flaggers will be alternating traffic in one lane for northbound and southbound travel.

Access to residences within the project area will be maintained during construction but delays should be expected. Please use caution and pay close attention to flaggers and construction signs.

Elsewhere

• On Monday, Oct. 30, traffic signal work at the intersection of 37th Street NE and Auburn Way North will require lane restrictions and the intersection will be controlled by police officers. The work will be underway between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained, but delays should be expected. Please use caution and pay close attention to police officers, flaggers, and construction sign directions.

• Starting Thursday, Oct. 26, at approximately 11 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 27, at 3 a.m., transport of an oversize load will require lane closures and intersection closures on 277th Street between Auburn Way North and L Street NE and on Auburn Way North from 277th Street to SR 18. Significant delays should be expected along these routes and full closure of eastbound 277th Street at Auburn Way North may be required at times and alternate routes are strongly advised.

• On Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., construction related to the MultiCare Auburn Medical Center project will require the closure of 1st Street NE from N Division Street to Auburn Avenue for street paving. The work is dependent on dry weather and may be re-scheduled should forecast conditions change.

Signed detour routes will be posted. Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction but delays should be expected.

• Roadway construction that was initially scheduled for Monday, Oct. 30, has been extended through Oct. 31. The work will require full daytime road closures for both northbound and southbound traffic on A Street NE, from 10th Street NE to 14th Street NE. The northbound lane will re-open after 4 p.m. on Oct. 30. The southbound lane will remained closed overnight.

Access to businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction, but delays should be expected. Detour routes will be in place.
