Caregiver’s Survival session set for Feb. 25

Caregivers are often unsung heroes while caring for family members, neighbors, clients and other loved ones.

Federal Way United Methodist Church appreciates the role caregivers play in society and will recognize that in a session designed specifically for them.

Caregiver’s Survival is Saturday, Feb. 25, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the church, 29645 51st Ave. S., Auburn.

The session will include insights from speakers:

• The Rev. Annette Gildemann, chaplain at MultiCare Auburn Medical Center, “You are Important Too”

• Donna Conley, masters social work, counseling, caregiver, leading a group discussion, “Ways to Cope”

• The Rev. Mary Walker, master’s in education, caregiver, “How to Make Things Work with Resources”

In addition, Carolyn Thompson, humorist and long-term caregiver, will discuss the everyday role of taking care of others. And fitness instructor Ellen Walworth will provide suggestions on how the caregiver can take care of themselves physically while still caring for another.
