Museum of Flight accepting applications for 2017-18 High School STEM residency programs

The deadline for high school students to apply for one of the Museum of Flight’s premiere residency education programs is Nov. 3.

The Western Aerospace Scholars program is a distance-learning and summer residency program for Montana, Oregon and Washington state high school juniors. The STEM-based program focuses on space exploration, and has online components and residencies allowing students to learn from industry professionals, NASA scientists, university students and STEM educators.

The top performing Washington scholars will be invited to participate in a six-day Summer Residency at the Museum in summer 2018, while Oregon and Montana scholars will attend residencies in those states during summer 2018. Both programs are part of the Museum’s Boeing Academy for STEM Learning.
