The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 325 calls for service between July 2 and 8, among them the following:

July 2

Aid call: 12:20 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters and King County Medics evaluated a man who was complaining of a headache, and a private ambulance transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

July 3

Illegal burning: 2:18 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters educated a land owner who was burning brush about the rules for burning in the City of Auburn, and the land owner extinguished said fire.

July 4

Brush fire: 11:34 a.m., (Black Diamond). Firefighters and Mountain View Fire responding to a brush fire initially reported to be 100-by-100 feet in size, aggressively attacked the flames, built a containment line and extinguished it. Nobody was hurt.

July 5

Aid call: 3:30 p.m., (Super Mall). Firefighters and King County Medics evaluated a woman who was struggling to catch her breath, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.

July 6

Aid call: 2:15 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters evaluated a middle-aged woman who was in the throes of multiple seizures, and King County Medics transported her to Valley Medical Center.

July 7

Accident: 6:51 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics responding to an accident in front of Station 32 on R Street and finding a T-bone accident that involved one middle-aged man, evaluated the fellow, and a VRFA aid car transported him to MAMC.

July 8

Hedge fire: 4:37 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to a reported hedge fire and finding a large hedge and fence ablaze near a house, pulled a hand line to extinguish the fire and stopped it from spreading. The cause is undetermined.
