VRFA fire and rescue blotter | March 8

The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to numerous calls for service between Feb. 20 and March 3, among which were the following:

Feb. 25

A id call: 11:38 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters and King County Medics helped a senior citizen who was suffering chest pain, and a private ambulance transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center (MAMC).

Feb. 26

Aid call: 1:40 p.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics stabilized a man with low blood sugar, and a private ambulance transported him to MAMC for further treatment.

Feb. 27

Aid call: 8 a.m., (Algona). Firefighters and King County Medics responded to a man who was struggling to breathe, and medics transported him to MAMC.

Feb. 28

Aid call: 5:34 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters came to the aid of a senior citizen who was suffering from infections in her leg that were affecting her entire body, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC

March 1

Aid call: 10:44 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters evaluated a woman was suffering with hip pain, and a private vehicle transported her to MAMC.

March 2

Accident: 4:22 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters responding to a two-vehicle, head-on accident involving three persons examined a small girl, a young woman and a young man, and a private ambulance transported the man to MAMC with minor injuries.

March 3

Brush fire: 4:50 p.m., (South Auburn). Firefighters responding to a 10-by-20-foot brush fire on Segale access road. contained it to the area. The cause is under investigation.
