Howard Hugh McNeilly

Howard Hugh “Mac” McNeilly

With great sadness, we announce the passing of “Mac” McNeilly on Father’s Day, June 19, 2016.

Born May 30, 1920, in Edwall, WA, he was predeceased by his wife of almost 70 years, Bonnie. He is survived by daughters Kathy Baerny (Russ), Pat Wilson (Greg), Bonnie Meek (Stan) and grandchildren Matt Baerny (Chantelle), Allen Eixenberger, Maggie Hartman (Cale), Megan Eixenberger, Eddie Eixenberger, Brooks Meek (Beth) and

6 great-grandchildren.

Dad was truly part of the “greatest generation”. At the age of 21, he left the family farm in eastern Washington to enlist in the service. As a member of Patton’s 3rd army, he was a scout in the 93rd Recon. Calvary, 13th armored division. He saw action in France and Germany and was a Bronze Star recipient.

Dad was a life long learner. At the age of 18, he connected electricity to his parents house on the ranch. As an employee of Pacific Northwest Bell, his knowledge of the telecommunication industry allowed him to retire as a District Manager. As a craftsman, he was adept at working with both metal and wood. As a husband and father, he was just the best. Honest and loving with a wonderful work ethic, he was always ready for a new project or a challenging repair.

The words on this page cannot convey how very much he will be missed.
