For the Reporter

Disruption wore down the leaders in deep stretch and held off a flying Jebrica late for a neck victory Friday in the $18,800 feature race for 3-year-olds and up at Emerald Downs.

Under a well-timed ride by leading rider Julien Couton, Disruption ran six furlongs in 1:09.96 and paid $7.20, $3.80 and $3. Monique Snowden, now 9-for-36 at the meet, is the winning trainer for owner Heidi Nelson (Nelson Family Racing) of Bothell.

Jebrica, a multiple stakes winner at Emerald Downs, rallied from last to finish second in his 2015 debut. The 9-to-5 wagering favorite ridden by Joe Steiner, Jebrica paid $3.60 and $3.

Memo to Mya, a 23-to-1 long shot ridden by Rocco Bowen, also finished well for third and paid $7.60 to show.

Parkers Bluff, Gross Misconduct, Memphis Mobster, Polish Dollar and Spot of Salt completed the order of finish.

Gross Misconduct broke sharply and led through fractions of :22.18, :44.86 and :57.23, but was under intense pressure from both Polish Dollar and Parkers Bluff, and gave way late.

Disruption, in fourth place early, rallied strongly through the stretch and collected his second feature race victory in two weeks. A 5-year-old Florida-bred by Street Boss, Disruption has a career record of 5-3-2 in 15 starts and earnings of $99,515.
