Auburn Riverside’s Marcus Sutrick repeated as all-city cross country champion by capturing the 5,000-meter showdown in a North Puget Sound League meet at Isaac Evans Park on Wednesday afternoon.

Sutrick covered the course in 15 minutes, 50 seconds, outdistancing teammate Noah Elwell (16:39.8).

Auburn Mountainview occupied the next four spots and five of the top 10 finishers to take team honors. The Lions posted 27 points, followed by the Ravens (32) and Auburn (77).

The Lions’ contingent included: Jeremiah Bartlett (third, 16:50.7); Nick Wolfe (fourth, 16:51.2); Austin Cays (fifth, 16:55.8); Theodore Wright (sixth, 17:10.7); and David Lysyy (ninth, 17:29.8).

The Ravens’ Easton Lane (17:13.7) and Joel Espino (17:20.7) finished seventh and eighth, respectively.

Auburn’s top finisher was Tim Rambo, 10th, with a time of 17:31.6.

Girls results

Rosalie Fish, a senior at Muckleshoot Tribal School, won the girls’ 5-K in 19:27.6.

The Ravens, with five runners finishing in the top 10, won the team chase with 22 points, followed by the Lions (47) and Trojans (62).

Auburn Riverside sophomore Jasmin Muneton finished second (19:39.6) and Auburn Mountainview junior Josie Austin was third (21:44).

Freshman Samena Tate was fourth (21:47.5) and sophomore Emma Halford took fifth (21:49.2) for the Ravens.

Auburn’s top runner was Katherine Johnson, 12th, with a time of 22:57.8.
