Northbound SR 167 ramp to I-405 to be closed for 14 hours Saturday night
The I-405/SR 167 interchange is one of the most heavily congested interchanges in the state. Through this project, WSDOT built a new flyover ramp connecting the HOT lanes on SR 167 to the carpool lanes on I-405 in Renton. This ramp is designed to improve traffic flow and safety at this critical interchange. COURTESY MAP, WSDOT

Get ready for a 14-hour closure this Saturday night, April 27 at the State Route 167/Interstate 405 interchange in Renton. Weather pending, the northbound SR 167 general-purpose ramp to northbound I-405 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m.

Construction crews plan to complete paving work at the northbound SR 167 ramp to northbound I-405. This work is part of ongoing construction for the I-405/SR 167 Interchange Direct Connector Project.

Weekend ramp closure:

• Saturday, April 27, to the morning of Sunday, April 28 – The northbound SR 167 ramp to northbound I-405 will be closed from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. Drivers can use the new I-405/SR 167 HOV flyover ramp as a detour.

Weekend lane closure:

• Saturday, April 27, to the morning of Sunday, April 28 – The northbound I-405 HOV lane between just south of SR 167 and Talbot Road South will be closed from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m.

Drivers using the I-405/SR 167 HOV flyover ramp as a detour during the 14-hour ramp closure will still be able to use the northbound I-405 HOV lane in this area.
