Unidentified photographer at daycare? | Auburn police blotter

Between July 19 and July 26, the Auburn Police Department responded to the following calls for service, among many others.

July 19

Strongarm robbery of gas station: 6:10 a.m., 2502 Auburn Way S. Police busted a man for second-degree robbery.

Hit and run: 6:45 p.m., 1701 Auburn Way S. Police investigated a hit-and-run, with a bit of justice-obstructing thrown in for leavening.

July 20

Shoplifting: 11:30 a.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Having shoplifted items from Safeway, two people brandished a knife on the way out, but police caught and busted them.

July 21

Suspicious person and circumstance: 2:35 p.m., 12832 SE 312th St. Staff at a daycare complained that an unidentified man may have been taking photographs of children sleeping.

July 22

Suspicious person and circumstance: 8:10 p.m. 11500 block of 301st Court. A woman questioned police about a disturbing pornographic photo she’d found on her estranged husband’s computer.

July 23

Misdemeanor vandalism: Overnight, 700 block of 37th Street Southeast. A man reported that someone had slashed his tires overnight, possibly because of a dispute concerning a past girlfriend.

Misdemeanor harassment: 12:55 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Staff at Shoe Dept. Encore contacted security to report that an unknown man was photographing and video recording two females.

July 24

Shots fired: 3 a.m., 3800 block of D Place Southeast. A woman found a bullet in her bedroom wall, her suspicion alighting on an illegal handgun discharge by a neighbor.

Weapons offense: 8:24 p.m., 6900 Lake Tapps Parkway SE. Some guy pointed a firearm at people just walking along.

July 25

Suspicious circumstance: 1:51 p.m., 500 block of 55th Way Southeast. Some scoundrel got hold of a man’s Social Security number and leaked it on the dark web.

July 26

Misdemeanor vandalism: 2:32 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Staff at the Regal Theaters reported that unknown yahoos had broken out windows there on the previous day.
