Men punch women in the face | Police blotter

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Feb. 12 and Feb. 22:

Feb. 12

Felonious shoplifting: 5:45 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Some guy stole numerous undisclosed items from an undisclosed store inside the Outlet Collection Mall.

Felony shoplifting: 2:55 p.m., 101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Three teenage girls pocketed numerous items of fragrance from a store inside the Outlet Collection Mall and departed.

Feb. 13

Assault with a firearm: 3:05 p.m., 1714 4th St. NE. Police arrested a man for numerous crimes after he had assaulted his ex-wife, shot at police and tried to burn down the house he had barricaded himself in before coming out of it.

Purse theft: 10:59 p.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. A woman left her purse at the Muckleshoot Casino, whereupon a wayward man and woman with larceny in their souls pounced on said purse, went through it, and stole stuff.

Feb. 15

Shoplifting: 2:48 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Two women stole numerous items of fragrance from a store inside the Outlet Collection Mall.

Feud: 4:07 p.m., 6300 block of Nathan Place Southeast. A kid “called out”another kid on a social media platform over a feud that has been raging for the last year.

Feb. 16

Property theft: Overnight, 300 block of 15th Street Southeast. Somebody cut away a woman’s catalytic converter.

Feb. 17

Commercial burglary: 12:51 a.m., 2402 West Valley Highway N. Burglars stole an undisclosed quantity of scrap metal from an Auburn business.

Feb. 19

Shoplifting: 4 p.m., 4310 A St. SE A woman stole a stereo from a local auto parts store.

Shoplifting: 6:30 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Staff at Ulta Beauty called security and police to report a three-suspect theft of fragrances.

Trespassing: 11:38 p.m., 124 2nd St. SE. Staff tossed a naughty woman from the Spunky Monkey bar until 2024.

Feb. 20

Assault: 12:24 a.m., 4798 Auburn Way N. A woman reported that she had seen a man punching a young woman while the young woman was on the ground and trying to get away from him. She told police she’d seen them walking into an apartment complex that was directly behind the new Coppergate construction and the woman told her not to call the police because everything was fine.

Feb. 21

Assault: 3:17 p.m., 1900 block of Elm Street. A woman complained that her husband punched her in the face after they had argued over laundry.

Feb. 22

Felonious theft of vehicle parts: 7 a.m., 400 block of 4th Street Northeast. Somebody stole someone else’s catalytic converter.
