Auburn Mountainview falls to Enumclaw; Jefferson beats Auburn Riverside | Prep boys basketball

Despite a fourth-quarter comeback and 16 points from senior wing MacCormick Anderson, Auburn Mountainview stumbled to South Puget Sound League 3A rival Enumclaw 68-64 Tuesday.
The Lions (4-4 league, 11-8 overall) trailed 54-41 at the end of three quarters, then put up 23 points in the fourth quarter, falling shy of catching the Hornets (3-5, 5-11).
Shaddye Melu added 14 points for Auburn Mountainview with Josh Upchurch adding 13.
Enumclaw was led by Tony Cheynowith and Perry Rockwood, with 21 points each.
The Lions will close out the regular season at 7 p.m. Friday at Decatur (8-0, 14-4).
ALSO: Auburn Riverside (3-9, 4-12) fell 57-45 at Jefferson (6-8, 9-9) in SPSL North 4A action on Tuesday. Senior Jaray Bates had a game-high 19 points with senior Bridger Harlington adding 13. The Ravens travel to Mount Rainier (8-5, 11-7) at 7:30 tonight. … The Auburn Trojans (4-8, 6-10) play at Kentlake (5-7, 5-11) at 7:30 p.m. today and host rival Auburn Riverside at 5:45 p.m Friday.
