Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Nov. 4 and 8.
Nov. 4
Burglary: 6 a.m., 29832 Green River Road S.E. A person or persons unknown stole $2,000 worth of wire from the Auburn Golf Course.
Fraud: 11 p.m., 5100 block of South 303rd Place. A man called to report that somebody had stolen $150 from his bank account. The guy’s debit card had been cloned in New York and then used to buy gift cards.
Theft: 1:10 p.m., 401 W. Main St. Somebody stole a cell phone from a teacher’s desk at West Auburn High School.
Nov. 5
Animal problem: 6:40 a.m., 10925 Southeast 304th St. A man hit a deer with his vehicle.
Fugitive from justice: 10:45 a.m., 12722 SE 312TH St. Police arrested a woman as a fugitive from justice because of her truly outstanding Nevada felony arrest warrant.
Shoplifting: 1:44 p.m., 1702 Auburn Way N. Two guys stole food from Top Foods then ditched the goods because of the loss prevention officer on their tail.
Shoplifting: 5:45 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Somebody stole two handbags from an undisclosed business.
Trespassing: 7:38 p.m., 12722 Southeast 312th St. Management of the Food Market and parking lot at Lea Hill gave some troublemaking so-and-so the boot and the “don’t come back now, hear” from its environs.
Shoplifting: 8:50 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. A man swiped a cart full of fermented beverages from Safeway.
Nov. 6
Assault with hands and fists: 11:19 a.m., 2200 block of I Street Northeast. Somebody assaulted a man when he took out his garbage, opening up a cut on his face that required treatment at MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.
Controlled substance: 12:15 p.m., 501 Oravetz Road SE. Auburn Riverside High School authorities found marijuana and ‘shrooms on a kid.
Theft: Overnight, 31100 block of 116th Avenue Southeast. Somebody stole gas-powered tools from the back of a truck belonging to an Auburn area landscaping business.
Swindle: Overnight, 31600 126th Avenue SE. Somebody claiming to be from the Federal Health and Human Services Grant Association scammed a too-trusting Auburn resident out of an undisclosed amount of money.
Nov. 7
Burglary: 3:30 p.m., 1305 17th St. SE. Somebody burglarized a church building.
Nov. 8
Shoplifting: 11:56 a.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Somebody swiped an undisclosed quantity of meat from Safeway’s deli.
