On Sunday, Washingtonians will have their first opportunity to play Powerball, the multi-state draw game offering massive jackpots that at times have reached up to $365,000,000.

Until now, Washington’s Lottery has just offered one multi-state draw game, Mega Millions, which has inspired dreams of winning big among players across the state since 2002. Starting Sunday, players will have four chances each week to win large jackpots from Mega Millions and Powerball, which start at $12,000,000 and $20,000,000 respectively and grow each time the jackpot isn’t hit.

Powerball is a large jackpot game. Tickets are $1 each and may be purchased at any of the nearly 4,000 retailers across Washington where Lottery products are already being offered. Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 Eastern Time, 7:59 Pacific Time. Five white balls are drawn out of a drum with 59 white balls, and one red ball, the Powerball, is drawn out of a drum with 39 red balls.
