Valley Medical Center recently unveiled its 4,350-square-foot Auburn Urgent Care Clinic.

The clinic, 1000 Auburn Way S., provides walk-in, extended-hour access for non-emergency, acute illness and injury care that is either beyond the scope or availability of a primary care practice.

In addition, VMC’s Occupational Health Services has joined Auburn Urgent Care to help businesses manage and reduce health care costs associated with accidents and injuries on the job by assisting with claim initiation, physical and occupational therapy on site, medications, followup care and return to work coordination.

“We are very pleased to open our fifth Urgent Care clinic and re-open our Occupational Health Clinic in the city of Auburn,” said Paul Larson, senior vice president, Valley Medical Center Clinic Network. “We hope to play a vital role in the health of the Auburn community by offering an alternative to more expensive and time-intensive ER visits for non-life-threatening emergencies. We also look forward to re-establishing our relationships with Auburn-area businesses, and providing convenient care to those new to our services.”

Valley Medical invites the community to visit the new clinic, take a tour, and receive a free first-aid kit, and free blood pressure screening from now through July 31.

Auburn Urgent Care clinicians are available to see patients, from infants to the elderly, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Occupational Health hours are currently 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, with additional days and hours to be added soon. On the job injuries are treated on a walk-in basis with no appointment necessary.
