Zola’s Coffee Shop has re-opened at 402 E. Main St. under owner Sonia Kessler.

The shop offers espresso, tea, loose-leaf teas, fresh salads, soups, grilled sandwiches, bagels, cookies and muffins.

Hours are 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.

• American Family Insurance recently opened an agency in Auburn at 4025 A St. SE, Suite 102. Agent Tetiana Canon offers auto, home, life, business and retirement insurance. The agency has has Russian and Ukrainian speaking capabilities.

• Emerald Aire Inc., is organizing a flood and blanket drive for the Auburn Food Bank. The company is accepting blankets and nonperishable food times at its office, located at 5108 D St. NW, Auburn, until Jan. 31, during business hours (7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday).

Emerald Aire Inc., which collected about 400 pounds of food last year, hopes to gather 600 pounds this year.

• The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe recently awarded a $5,000 grant to Bethany of the Northwest, which provides skilled nursing care and rehabilitative services. The funds will go toward the Dignity Project for Bethany of the Northwest facilities, located in the Providence Regional Medical Center’s Pacific Campus and in Silver Lake at Everett. The Dignity Project provides goods and services that honor, respect and provide for the quality of life of Bethany residents.

“We are truly grateful to the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe for supporting our efforts in providing a safe and comfortable environment,” said Denney Austin, Bethany of the Northwest CEO.

Debra James, administrator of Bethany at Pacific, added: “This very generous gift will mean a lot to our residents. We are very grateful.”

The Muckleshoot Charitable Fund Committee is a charitable organization with the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe who distributes approximately $1 million per year.
