ASO to play ‘The Messiah and Other Seasonal Treats’

The Auburn Symphony Orchestra will perform highlights from Handel’s Messiah for two evening performances – Dec. 2-3 – at the Auburn Performing Arts Center.

The Auburn Symphony Orchestra will perform highlights from Handel’s Messiah for two evening performances – Dec. 2-3 – at the Auburn Performing Arts Center.

Curtains will open for “The Messiah and Other Seasonal Treats” at 7:30 each night at APAC, 700 E. Main St.

Conductor Stewart Kershaw will begin a free pre-concert lecture 45 minutes prior to each concert.

The orchestra will be joined by the renowned Tudor Choir along with the return from last season of vocal soloists Megan Chenovick, Melissa Plagemann and Erich Parce. Vaughan Willims’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols will follow, and then an audience sing-along of Jingle Bells, Silent Night and O Holy Night.
