Country star Justin Moore to perform at the Spring Fair

Justin Moore, an up-and-coming country artist, will perform at the Spring Fair in Puyallup’s KMPS Showcase on April 16.

The 7:30 p.m. concert on the Great American Stage at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center will be free, based on gate admission to the Spring Fair in Puyallup. Seating is first come, first seated, with concert gates opening at 6:30 p.m.

Moore continues to see bright days ahead. He not only became the only new country artist last year to have a No. 1 single with his massive hit, “Small Town USA,” Moore also was proclaimed as Billboard’s “New Country Artist of 2009,” and The New York Times recognized his debut album as one of the best albums of 2009 in their “The Year in the Arts” list.

KMPS afternoon personality, Tony Thomas, will broadcast live on 94.1 KMPS-FM and streaming on www.kmps.com from the Spring Fair in Puyallup on April 16 from 3-7 p.m.

Adult admission to the Spring Fair is $9, student (6-18 years) $7, and 5 years old and under are free, and advance gate tickets will be available in Pierce and South King Counties at Fred Meyer, Columbia Bank, Safeway, and South Hill Mall. The “Ride Saver Pack” coupon offering seven rides for $16 also are available in advance. Parking in the Puyallup Fair & Events Center official parking lots is free. Hours are 2-10 p.m. on April 15 (Thursday); 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on April 16-17 (Friday and Saturday), and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on April 18 (Sunday). Friday is Military Appreciation Day, with free gate admission to active, reserve and retired military and their dependents with valid military ID. On Thursday, April 15 only, gate admission is free to kids, 0-18 years, with a recommended donation to the FISH Food Bank perishable food drive.
