GRCC offers free documentary that exposes the problem of worldwide slavery

CALL+RESPONSE, a feature documentary film revealing the world’s 27 million dirtiest secrets, will be shown 7-10 p.m., Jan. 11, at the Green River Community College's Lindbloom Student Center, main dining area.

CALL+RESPONSE, a feature documentary film revealing the world’s 27 million dirtiest secrets, will be shown 7-10 p.m., Jan. 11, at the Green River Community College’s Lindbloom Student Center, main dining area.

The PG-13 film, presented by the Soroptimists and GRCC Women’s Programs, is free. Suggested audience is 13 and over.

The documentary examines the fact there are more slaves today than ever before in human history. It goes deep undercover where slavery is thriving from the child brothels of Cambodia to the slave brick kilns of rural India to reveal that in 2009, slave traders made more money than Google, Nike and Starbucks combined.
