Hall and Oates to perform at Puyallup Fair on Sept. 22

Daryl Hall and John Oates will bring their “Do What You Want, Be What You Are Tour 2010” to the Puyallup Fair on Sept. 22.

The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the the Puyallup Fair & Events Center.

Tickets go on sale March 20 through www.ticketmaster.com. Price range from $25-$65 and include fair gate admission. Seats are reserved.

The pop music duo who achieved their greatest fame in the late 1970s and early to mid-1980s. They specialized in a fusion of rock and roll and rhythm and blues styles, which they dubbed “rock and soul.” They are known for performing hits “Rich Girl,” “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do),” “Maneater” and eight other Billboard No. 1 hits in their 40-year career.

In 1987, that Recording Industry Association of America recognized Hall and Oates as the top-selling duo in music history. That record still remains today. In 2008, they were honored with the Icon Award during BMI’s 56th annual Pop Awards.
