“Oncology on Canvas: Expressions of a Cancer Journey,” a traveling art exhibit, will be on display in Auburn next month.

The exhibit will run 5-7 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the Auburn Regional Cancer Center, located at 121 N. Division St., downtown Auburn. It is open to the public.

The nationally touring exhibit was developed by Eli Lilly and Company as a way to honor those who are impacted by cancer. The artworks are created by people who have been diagnosed with cancer, their family and friends or healthcare providers. It documents their journey, hope and inspiration.

The exhibit is the culmination of a competition that awarded winners cash prizes and a donation to their favorite cancer charity.

The exhibit is hosted by Auburn Regional Medical Center and Capital Oncology, which operates Auburn Regional Cancer Center.

In addition to viewing the exhibition, the public also will be invited to tour the center and see the advanced technology now used to battle cancer.
