Domestic shooting

On July 17 at approximately 1:23 p.m., Auburn police were dispatched to a report of an assault with a firearm at an apartment complex. The incident involved a domestic violence shooting at the complex, located in the 1200 block of A Street Northeast. Auburn police collected two bullet casings as evidence from the incident. The public information log provided no information regarding injuries. According to the department’s public information log, the incident involved a single male suspect and a female victim.

Threatened with a gun

On July 14 at approximately 6:04 p.m., Auburn police received a report of a weapons offense in the 400 block of 37th Street Southeast. According to the department’s public information log, the call regarded a suspect threatening a man with a handgun, serving as an instance of felony harassment. The public log provided no information regarding the suspect’s identity, with the suspect unidentified as of the time of log release. The suspect stole a vape from the victim. The vape was later recovered.

Shots fired

On July 16 at approximately 6:58 p.m., Auburn police received a report regarding a weapons offense in the 4700 block of Auburn Way North. Auburn police were dispatched to the scene and conducted a shots fired investigation of the incident. Auburn police collected multiple bullet casings of two different calibers. They collected a total of 22 casings.

Fireworks fire

Auburn police were dispatched on July 17 after receiving a report at approximately 12:49 a.m. regarding a fireworks-related incident in the 6800 block of Quincy Avenue Southeast. According to the department’s public information log, a fireworks discharge resulted in a fire in the neighborhood. The fire burned both a fence and a lawn.
