Auburn area golfers place at state 3A and 4A tourneys | Golf

Auburn Mountainview junior Kelly Campbell grabbed a three-way tie for 12th-place at the Washington State 3A Boys Golf Championships this past week at MeadowWood Golf Course in Spokane.

Campbell shot a two-round, three-over-par 147 on the par-72 course.

Teammate and fellow junior Austin Geiger finished tied for 41st with a 158.

The 3A tourney was won by West Valley’s Eric Gravbrot who shot a 137 over the two-day competition.

At the 4A competition at the Creek at Qualchan Golf Course in Spokane, Auburn Riverside’s Nolan Cull notched a three-way tie for 12th with a seven-over-par 151.

Olympia’s Dom Francks was first with a three-under 141.

Auburn Mountainview’s Madison Goodwin finished tied for 23rd at the 3A girls competition at Liberty Lake Golf Course in Spokane with a two-round 180.

Peninsula’s Rachel Lewis finished first with a 145.
