Trailing 36-22 at the intermission, the Trojans (12-10) were stifled by the Titan’s (16-7) defense, scoring just 13 second half points.

Marquise Prader had eight points for Auburn, with Rio Paul chipping in with six. Josh Callero had five points and JJ Ruffin and Jason Momi chipped in with four apiece.

Riley Hawken led Union with 19 points, with Micah Paulson adding 13.

The Trojans will fight to stay alive in the district tourney against SPSL North 4A rival Kentwood (16-7) at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Mt. Tahoma High School in Tacoma.
