Auburn Fire and Rescue Blotter | Oct. 22

The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 173 calls for service between Oct. 11 and Oct. 17, among them the following:

Oct. 11

Aid call: 12:58 p.m., (Location not given). Firefighters responding to an overdose arrived to find a man in stable condition with normal vital signs. According to the man, he accidentally overdosed on his medication. A private ambulance transported him to Auburn Regional Medical Center for further evaluation.

Oct. 12

Aid call: 7:35 a.m., (Pacific). Valley Com dispatched firefighters to help somebody with a swollen face. Firefighters examined the person, then a private ambulance whisked him or her off to ARMC.

Oct. 13

CPR: 7:40 a.m., (Auburn. Firefighters tending to an unconscious, unresponsive, elderly patient successfully resuscitated him or her and King County Medic 6 transported him or her to ARMC.

Oct. 14

Medical aid: (Algona). Firefighters responded to a woman having a medical emergency, stabilized her; then, King County Medics transported her to ARMC.

Oct. 15

Something burning: 8:41 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responding to the 1300 block of M Street S.E. for the smell of something burning used a thermal imaging camera to locate a piece of plastic burning in a baseboard heater.

Oct. 16

Car accident: 1:29 p.m., (Auburn) Firefighters helped three adults and two children injured in a two-car accident. Firefighters and private ambulances transported everybody to ARMC.

Oct. 17

Aid call: 11:30 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responding to a male complaining of abdominal pain checked him out; then, a private ambulance transported him to St Francis hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
