Auburn launches mobile app to help residents file requests directly to the City

The City of Auburn on Wednesday launched a new free citizen request portal for Apple iOs and Android devices.

The new service, made available through Cartegraph’s YourGOV, allows citizens to submit non-emergency requests directly to the City’s maintenance and operations work order system, which is reviewed by management and assigned for resolution through their mobile devices.

YourGOV mobile complements the Web version of the service that was introduced in April. With the addition of the mobile service, Auburn citizens can now submit requests such as potholes, graffiti, vandalism, street light outages, and more online, through their mobile device, via email and by phone.

The YourGov app guides the user through a few questions about the item being reported and allows the user to take a picture to submit along with the request. The app also automatically collects the location of the request using the smart phones’ built in GPS so crews can be dispatched to the exact location

The app is available on any Apple iOS™ or Google Android™ enabled device. It can be found as a free download in the Apple AppStore™, Google Android Marketplace™ and the Amazon AppStore™.

Citizens that would like to track requests can create a free user account online on the City’s Service Request page where community members can submit requests, track the progress of their requests, and view the status of any open request in the area.
