Auburn Mountainview boys scrape by Fort Vancouver 3-2 in overtime shootout | Boys Soccer

The Auburn Mountainview boys soccer team won their play-in game to the West Central/Southwest District 3A boys soccer tournament on Thursday, downing Fort Vancouver 3-1 in an overtime, shootout game.

The Lions got goals from Sergey Rubakha and Donovan Gleason in the contest.

The win earns the Lions a 1 p.m. game Saturday at Camas for the No. 1 seed into the state 3A tourney.

When Initiative 2113, a law approved this spring by Washington’s Legislature, goes into effect on June 6, it will once again allow the chief or police administrators to make the determinations in their own jurisdictions.
