Emily McAllister vows to help others.

The Auburn Mountainview High School senior, with the support of her school, has organized a benefit concert – Singing Out To Stop The Silence & End The Violence – on Thursday, May 1, with proceeds supporting the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence (WSCADV).

McAllister’s goal is to raise $10,000.00 to benefit the WSCADV, a nonprofit network and one of the leading voices to end domestic violence in Washington.

McAllister has been involved in leadership efforts at her high school and has a true passion for helping others. She plans to attend Eastern Washington University in the fall and hopes to become a nurse.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the school, 28900 124th Ave. SE. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Admission is a $5 donation fee.
