Auburn Parks, Arts & Rec offers art class for teens

The Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Department is now offering a calligraphy class for youth and teens. Class is for ages 9-18 to come and discover the art of beautiful writing.

Class meets Wednesdays, Aug. 19-Sept. 2, 6-7:30 p.m. at the Les Gove Park Building. The class fee is $53 for Auburn residents, $67 non-residents. All supplies are included in the class fee.

Learn how to use a calligraphy pen and write in a variety of lettering styles useful for projects such as greeting cards, place cards, scrapbooking and making finished works of art. Watercolors, markers and pencils may be explored as desired by students.
