Aug. 4

Trespassing: 1:27 p.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. A woman who’d been permanently barred from the Muckleshoot Casino in 2014 for reasons related to problem gambling showed up again, collected a jackpot payout but was recognized when she went to collect her winnings.

Aug. 9

Burglary: Overnight, 3400 block of Academy Drive SE. Somebody, or several somebodies, broke into a number of businesses and stole miscellaneous items.

Theft: Overnight, 801 Auburn Way N. While a woman was shopping with her children at Fred Meyer, she placed her phone on a shelf, and at some moment in the five-minute interval that elapsed before she remembered what she’d done, somebody stole the phone.

Vandalism: 2:37 p.m., 28000 block of 124th Avenue Southeast. Video caught a man’s willful damaging of newly-painted roadway lines, so police busted him.

Theft: 6:56 p.m., 2201 E St. NE. A thief, or several thiefs in cahoots, stole radios from aircraft at the Auburn Municipal Airport.

Trespassing: 11:25 p.m., 4300 A St. SE. The Elephant Car Wash told a dirty-dealing bloke — of undisclosed dirty dealings — to get clean out of there.

Vandalism: 9 p.m., 400 block of 21st Street Southeast. Someone used a screw driver or some other sharp object to damage a tire on a woman’s car, damage she discovered while she was driving.

Aug. 10

Theft: 8:15 a.m., 1100 block of 27th Street Southeast. A person unknown stole a TV from a home.

Theft: 11:59 p.m., 2100 block of Hemlock Street Southeast. Someone stole loose bank checks and an entire book of checks from a man’s home.

Aug. 14

Prowling: 12:30 p.m., 1500 block of J Street Southeast. Somebody stole a binder from an Auburn resident’s vehicle.

Assault with a firearm: 4:50 p.m., 10200 block of Southeast 320th Street. While a man was pointing a pistol at a woman, he told her he was going to kill her, so police arrested him.

Theft: 1:30 p.m., 2500 block of 17th Street Southeast. A thief stole a pressure washer from a pickup truck.

Aug. 15

Burglary: 6 a.m., 1825 K St. SE. A burglar, or burglars, broke into a room at Olympic Middle School and made off with assorted candy and chips.

Trespassing: 8:19 a.m., 2700 block of 18th Street Southeast. Without consulting the resident, a group of homeless individuals climbed through an apartment window.
