Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between July 25 and 28:
July 25
Vandalism: 8:45 a.m., 100 block of A Street Northwest. Witnesses having eyeballed a man smashing a car window near City Hall and then getting into said car, police arrested him for vandalism and vehicle trespassing, and then booked him into the SCORE jail.
Harassment: 3:20 p.m., 100 block of 15th Street Northeast. One guy threatened another guy with a machete.
Theft: 2:30 p.m. 2900 block of O Street Southeast. A woman called to report that her grandson had swiped her television.
Vandalism: Overnight, 44 5th St. NE. Under cover of darkness, some no-goodnik slashed someone else’s tires.
July 26
Vandalism: Overnight,500 block of A Street Northeast. A vehicle suffered slashed tires.
Theft: Overnight, 1300 block of West Main Street. A thief or thieves broke into a man’s enclosed, 53-foot-long car hauler-trailer and stole ratchet straps.
Vandalism, assault: 12 a.m. 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Police busted a man for damaging a car and assaulting an officer at the Outlet Collection Mall.
Theft: 12:15 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Somebody stole a maintenance crew golf cart from the Outlet Collection Mall.
Shoplifting: 7:07 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Two guys stole numerous items of clothing from the Tommy Hilfiger store at the Outlet Collection Mall.
DUI alcohol or drugs: 8 p.m., 31200 block of 124th Avenue Southeast. For the third time, police busted the same 21-year-old man on suspicion of DUI.
July 27
Disorderly conduct: 1:46 a.m., 100 2nd St. SE. Police busted a man for conducting himself in an unlawful manner on a bus.
Violation of order: 5:31 a.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A man and a woman who’d been court-ordered to keep away from each other failed to do so because of a dispute over their children.
Theft: 1:30 p.m., 320 Auburn Way S. A Burger King employee stole an undisclosed sum of money from a register.
Vandalism: 5 p.m., 12800 block of Southeast 312th Street. Kids threw rocks at a building.
July 28
Shoplifting: 12:22 a.m., 3648 Auburn Way N. Somebody boosted beer from a store.
Theft: 7 p.m., 29500 block of 61st Avenue South. Somebody stole a tailgate.
