Feb. 3

Theft: 5 p.m., 2802 Auburn Way N. While a man’s pickup truck was parked near the Sports Page Tavern, somebody swiped property from it.

Feb. 4

Prowler: 6:41 a.m., 500 block of M Street Northeast. Somebody interrupted a vehicle prowl in progress, prompting the unknown female inside the parked car to bolt.

Theft: 6:57 a.m., 1200 block of 4th Street Northeast. The owner of a black, 2009 Honda Civic 4 door reported his or her car stolen 16 minutes after the interrupted vehicle prowl described above, and only a block south.

Trespassing: 8:26 a.m., 202 N. Division St. Employees of a medical clinic didn’t much like the person hanging around, so police showed up to give him or her the boot.

Robbery: 8:15 a.m., 3300 M St. SE. While walking to school, a thug or thugs unknown assaulted and robbed a student. Police didn’t disclose what the robbers got.

Burglary: 8:51 a.m., 901 Supermall Way SW. After smashing a garage door window panel on the north side of the Discount Tire Company building to get in, bad guys tried, but failed, to drill the lock to a storage container.

Burglary: 10:31 a.m., 11000 block of Southeast 281st Street. Burglars struck a garage, lightening it of two chainsaws, a pressure washer, and a backpack style leaf blower, of undisclosed value.

Theft: 11:30 a.m., 6100 block of Terrace View Lane. A resident at the Belara Apartments complained that somebody had prowled her vehicle overnight, stealing miscellaneous tax and bank documents and two gym bags.

Burglary: 2 p.m., 401 49th St. NE. Burglars stole an undisclosed quantity of copper wire from a building at the south end of the Valley 6 Drive-In property. Police didn’t disclose a value for the stolen wire.

Theft: 3:24 p.m., 3200 block of B Street Northwest. Thieves swiped three ATVs from a locked trailer.

Feb. 5

Trespassing: 1:03 a.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. A man who’d been barred from the Muckleshoot Casino thought to slip in undetected and blend in with the crowd, but keen-eyed security personnel pounced. He gave police a false name and got himself arrested for trespassing and obstructing a police officer.

Theft: 1 p.m., 900 block of 67th Lane Southeast. The sudden, unexpected departure of a tenant from a building prompted fears of thievery in the owner, who then entered the property and discovered his or her fears realized.

Feb. 6

Recovered stolen property: 8:25 a.m., 201 Cross St. SE. Somebody reported finding in an open area a block away from Safeway a large number of liquor bottle security tops that had been stolen from the store.

Feb. 8

Vandalism: overnight, 1402 Auburn Way N. Graffiti was found painted along the exterior walls of a business.
