Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Feb. 8 and 13:
Feb. 8
Vandalism: Overnight, 1102 3rd St. SE. The desperate owner of a rental, eager to rent it, communicated to police his suspicions that kids were behind a series of window breakages at his property.
Feb. 9
Auto theft: Overnight, 917 Auburn Way S. Somebody stole a U-Haul truck and drove it to the city of Puyallup, where someone else found it.
Theft: Overnight, 4435 A St. SE. Somebody swiped an HVAC unit behind a restaurant.
Assault with hands, fists: 1:38 p.m., 9 16th St. NW. A woman’s boyfriend’s assaulted her at a motel in front of her children.
Shoplifting: 12:38 p.m., 762 Outlet Collection. A man shoplifted, got caught, went to jail.
Theft: Overnight, 700 West Valley Highway N. Somebody broke into a woman’s car and stole several firearms.
Shoplifting: 7:20 p.m., 1519 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a female for stealing gloves and a TV cord. She also had a warrant out there with her name plastered all over it.
Shoplifting: 7:45 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. A man, unknown, stole a whole lot of meat from Safeway.
Feb. 12
Theft: 5 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Somebody scooted away from Safeway’s south parking lot area with a man’s homemade scooter.
Feb. 13
Theft: 11:41 a.m., 401 8th St. SW. Management at the Peppertree Inn complained that a man stole a television from the room he had rented for the night.
Shoplifting: 3:40 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Loss prevention at Safeway reported that an unknown thief had stolen a bottle of Jack Daniel’s Whiskey.
Shoplifting: 5:34 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. After a he and a she stole $814 worth of items from the Coach Store at The Outlet Collection, they hoofed it from the mall.
Robbery with firearm: 6:42 p.m., 918 Auburn Way S. A male robbed the Baskin Robbins at gunpoint. Police did not disclose what, if anything, was taken.
