Forgery: 11:09 a.m., 1416 Harvey Road NE. A woman passed a bogus $20 bill to Walgreens in Auburn.

Jan. 25

Fraud: 3 p.m., 24 A St. SE. A man convinced a passerby to cash a bouncy rubber check for him and give him the money.

Jan. 26

Animal problem: 6 p.m., 4200 block of A Street Southeast. Somebody reported an aggressive dog and a stray dog on the loose.

Jan. 27

Burglary: Overnight, 1502 Pike St. NW. Somebody tried to burglarize a business.

Theft: 11:10 p.m., 1227 Auburn Way N. A man swiped several pieces of undisclosed electronics from a local store then made good his escape.

Shoplifting: 11:38 a.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Police busted a woman for stealing baby formula from Safeway.

Vandalism: 3:02 pm., 2300 block of M Street Northeast. A man came into the lobby of the Auburn Police Department to complain that a kid had thrown a rock at his vehicle and cracked its windshield.

Shoplifting and drug possession: 5 p.m., 1406 Lake Tapps Parkway SE. A woman discovered that being busted for shoplifting is bad enough, but having crystal methamphetamine upon one’s person when police bust you for shoplifting is even worse.

Theft: 3:39 p.m., 31808 116th Avenue SE. Between Jan. 10 and 15, somebody stole an enclosed trailer from a construction site

Fraud: 7:37 p.m., 320 Auburn Way S. A local restaurant reported receiving a fraudulent bill.

Assault with a knife: 9:50 p.m., 202 N Division St. Somebody unknown stabbed a man at a locale he was unable to name to police.
