June 25

Burglary: 6 a.m., 310 44th St. NW. The manager of Puget Sound Coatings reported that burglars had struck the business between June 22 and June 25, as evidenced by lockers that should have been closed but were not, tools that should have been there but were not, and damage to outside and inside doors.

Theft: 7:55 a.m., 120 block of A Street Northwest. Thieves swiped a winch from somebody’s vehicle. No value was given.

Burglary: 7:29 a.m., 414 17th St. SE. A burglar, or several burglars, got away with $1,480 in cash and property from Regency Auburn Rehabilitation Center.

Bike theft: 3:40 p.m., 400 block of D Street Northeast. Somebody stole a blue Diamondback men’s bicycle from somebody’s property.

Theft: 1:51 p.m., 400 block of 16th Street Northeast. Some thief smashed a man’s car window and yanked out two computers and a hard drive. No value was given.

June 26

Burglary: Overnight, 3501 C St. NE. Burglars struck an Auburn manufacturing company, taking three spools of copper wire.

Booze theft: 9:05 a.m., 1231 Auburn Way N. A man walked out of Rite Aid with two cases of liquor.

Trespassing: 12:40 p.m., 810 block of 28th Street Southeast. When police detained a man for trespassing in another man’s backyard they found upon the intruder’s person varied burglary tools and marijuana.

The family that steals together: 8:17 p.m., 1702 Auburn Way N. Top Foods took offense at the practices of a shoplifting mother-and-daughter duo and called in police to arrest the pair.

Theft of booze: 8:37 p.m., 1702 Auburn Way N. Even while police were still on scene at Top Foods dealing with mom and her girl, whose thieving misdeeds were sketched above, a man tried his luck at spiriting away $422.92 in liquor under the very noses of police and was himself swiftly arrested.

June 27: 4:29 p.m., 3214 A St. SE. Police arrested a man at Auburn Valley Towing on a confirmed Auburn bench warrant that referenced his having left a child unattended at a liquor establishment and abandoning a dependent person. Police presented the man with a shiny new court date and let him go.

Trespassing: 8:54 p.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. Not so long ago the powers that be at the Muckleshoot Casino told a woman — her misdeeds here undisclosed — to scram, get lost, never return. When police learned the woman had ignored the forever edict and shown up again, they arrested, cited and released her.

June 30

Dog theft: 4:42 p.m., 31800 block of 112th Avenue Southeast. Somebody stole from a woman two Great Pyreneese dogs, one of the dogs a puppy, the other an old timer.

DUI: 10:01 p.m., 600 block of 15th Street Northeast. Police arrested a man for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol after stopping him for inordinately loud music pulsating, pounding and percussing innocent eardrums.
